OK, in exactly two weeks, I am to deliver a lecture on the following topic (if I want to be a Dr. Art, that is):
How will (or should) educational institutions respond to the increasing importance of the Web in contemporary communication? What are the obstacles that educational systems would encounter in their attempts to teach new media literacies?
I didn't see that one coming!
I probably should, though. Writing and literacy expert Gail Hawisher is one of my opponents.
